The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernesto Cearense made a kick off. After 52 played minutes C. A. Pirassununguense got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Britto. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of C. A. Pirassununguense booed when Società Sportiva Savoia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Mangueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When João Pedro de Senna came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Società Sportiva Savoia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Pedro de Senna couldn't finish the play. When C. A. Adrianinho Nunes hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After having played for 93 minutes, Luís Fábio dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C. A. Pirassununguense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Fábio dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Luís Fábio dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. C. A. Pirassununguense's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
