In the 5th match minute, Belém Boys II was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Leite to maneuver through the defense. Kauã Bittencourt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clóvis Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vasco da Gama's Guilherme de Azevedo pulled a muscle in his back after 10 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Erasmo Corrêa, 11 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Kauã Bittencourt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clóvis Lucas's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute Moisés Bastos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natanael Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Adolfo Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Vasco da Gama's goal looked a bit too open when Clóvis Lucas came free, but Kauã Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Clóvis Lucas fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Belém Boys II's protests and gave Clóvis Lucas a yellow card for diving instead. After 31 played minutes Belém Boys II got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis Lucas. Patrick Leite charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patrick Leite the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Natanael Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moisés Bastos in the 39th minute of the match. If Clóvis Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Clóvis Lucas took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kauã Bittencourt. Kauã Bittencourt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 58 minutes into the game, Remo Capixaba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vasco da Gama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belém Boys II the free kick. When Belém Boys II's João Adolfo Barreto in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vasco da Gama's goalie prevented a goal. Patrick Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Moisés Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vasco da Gama's supporters rose to their feet, but Moisés Bastos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natanael Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 71 played minutes Vasco da Gama got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Furtado. Kauã Bittencourt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clóvis Lucas's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. When Belém Boys II's Clóvis Lucas in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. João Adolfo Barreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Kauã Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Vasco da Gama getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Remo Capixaba hit a great ball. Kauã Bittencourt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Falcão de Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. With a little luck, Belém Boys II's Natanael Azevedo got control of the ball when Olívio Sampaio tried to sneak it across the goal line.
