Lucas Matias ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucas Matias in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Luís Medeiros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 10 played minutes VSKG C.E.E.J got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Valadares. Zé Paulo Proença's late challenge caught a VSKG C.E.E.J's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Paulo Proença helped the player get up and apologised. Zé Paulo Proença hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Lucas Matias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São Paulo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Matias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 17 played minutes Lucas Matias rounded VSKG C.E.E.J's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. André Luís Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Matias, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. André Luís Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Matias in the 22nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Lucas Matias managed to get in a good position for a shot. São Paulo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Matias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Luís Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Téo Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. São Paulo FC's Lucas Matias managed to work through VSKG C.E.E.J's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Lucas Matias dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 31st minute, Téo Ortiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. André Luís Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hílton Pena in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, VSKG C.E.E.J's Durval Chaves got a free kick in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alessandro Valadares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Hílton Pena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Luís Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 73 minutes of play, São Paulo FC's Lucas Matias made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Luís Medeiros was left in no man's land by his defense there! André Luís Medeiros came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by São Paulo FC's Lucas Matias. But to his dismay, Lucas Matias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. If Téo Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. André Luís Medeiros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucas Matias's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Hílton Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. André Luís Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. VSKG C.E.E.J's André Luís Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Matias in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th match minute, VSKG C.E.E.J was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durval Chaves to maneuver through the defense. São Paulo FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
