Baracaja FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ademar Favoretto was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 10th minute. Baracaja FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ademar Favoretto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Jacobsson having to make a save. After 14 played minutes Smallville got a freekick which was hit by Fellipe de Moraes. Vintilă Encuțoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loco Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Gert Vennerkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Daniel Jacobsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Carlos Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 31st minute Ademar Favoretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Jacobsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Smallville's Daniel Jacobsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademar Favoretto in the 36th minute of play. Smallville's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Ademar Favoretto scored to the left of an out of position Daniel Jacobsson, making the score, 1-0.

The wind increased when Ademar Favoretto made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Smallville got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Gustavo Goiano. João Carlos Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Jacobsson having to interfere. Daniel Jacobsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademar Favoretto in the 74th minute of play. If Gert Vennerkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute.
