With an all-out effort, Baracaja FC's Acácio Trevisan threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gert Vennerkvist, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gert Vennerkvist to strike the kick off in the second half. Baracaja FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gert Vennerkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th minute, Platon Losada left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Baracaja FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Alessandro Rezende's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Acácio Trevisan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Platon Losada struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Acácio Trevisan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baracaja FC.
