In the 21st minute Emílio Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizinho Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelinho Cardoso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Arlindo Silveira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelinho Cardoso made a kick off. Luizinho Negri made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Manfredo Gaspar sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 58 minutes, Marcelinho Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Lucena FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelinho Cardoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arlindo Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Atlético Lucena FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
