The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Joanesia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Luz to maneuver through the defense. Joel dos Santos came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Lomba Grande SC's Caco Ferraz. But to his dismay, Caco Ferraz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Dadá Paraíba came free with the goalkeeper in the 11th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and 吕翀岩 could save by the left post. In the 12th minute Caco Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Lomba Grande SC's goalkeeper 吕翀岩 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dadá Paraíba. Dadá Paraíba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but 吕翀岩 made a huge save. In the 20th minute, Serafim Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, Joanesia's goal looked a bit too open when Serafim Pimenta came free, but Joel dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Lomba Grande SC's Lucio Chale in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Joel dos Santos was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Caco Ferraz came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Lomba Grande SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caco Ferraz couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Joanesia's Dadá Paraíba got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 35th minute, Lucio Chale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joanesia's Joel dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Chale in the 37th minute of play. Joel dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Chale in the 38th minute of play. Joel dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafim Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lucio Chale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Joanesia defense, Caco Ferraz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel dos Santos. The Joanesia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel dos Santos should have stopped the shot. The Joanesia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lomba Grande SC were winning 0-3.

After 58 minutes, Caco Ferraz made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Joanesia's Joel dos Santos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Joanesia's Joel dos Santos got control of the ball when Lucio Chale tried to sneak it across the goal line. Caco Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel dos Santos having to interfere. 吕翀岩 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Durval Saraiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Joanesia's Joel dos Santos got control of the ball when Caco Ferraz tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dadá Paraíba during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Lomba Grande SC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Serafim Pimenta hit a great ball. Joanesia's Joel dos Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Joanesia from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Caco Ferraz could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Joel dos Santos however easily saved by the left post. Joel dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucio Chale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caco Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Joel dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
