The Bitelon FC - SAF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Paulo Mazza should have stopped the shot. Bitelon FC - SAF's Luiz Paulo Mazza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Bitelon FC - SAF from getting a goal against them. Herminio Izel hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Ernesto Bueno's late challenge caught a Bitelon FC - SAF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernesto Bueno helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SPFC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dida Mazzola showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 46th minute of the match Pit Bull sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Paulo Mazza skillfully saved the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Bitelon FC - SAF made a substitution. Adrianinho Couto replaced Falcão Silveira. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cleiton do Vale made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, SPFC's goalkeeper Dida Mazzola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 叶凌宁. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernesto Prosperi in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Paulo Mazza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luiz Paulo Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herminio Izel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bitelon FC - SAF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of SPFC booed when Bitelon FC - SAF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrianinho Couto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dida Mazzola was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Richard Alcântara capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Richard Alcântara really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Thanks to some nice moves Marcelo Ramos could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Dida Mazzola however easily saved by the left post. In the 90th minute, Kaká Loureiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dida Mazzola. The goal made the score 2-2. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bitelon FC - SAF's goalkeeper Luiz Paulo Mazza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Richard Alcântara reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dida Mazzola. The goal made the score 2-3.
