In the 47th minute Benjamin da Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Mazzola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48th match minute, SPFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pit Bull to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernesto Prosperi to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, SPFC's Herminio Izel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Benjamin da Mata sped through SPFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dida Mazzola. After a rather tough play, SPFC's Emerson Sena got a free kick in the 66th minute. Raphael Alvarenga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luisinho Mangueira struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Breno Vergílio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SPFC. In the 70th match minute, SPFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kuzey Şahinter to maneuver through the defense. Raphael Alvarenga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Dida Mazzola made a huge save. Benjamin da Mata might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dida Mazzola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin da Mata ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 76th match minute, SPFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emerson Sena to maneuver through the defense. Raphael Alvarenga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dida Mazzola. SPFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Barbieri Sports booed when SPFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agnaldo Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Barbieri Sports's Benjamin da Mata sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dida Mazzola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dida Mazzola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamin da Mata's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Herminio Izel hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Breno Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Prosperi in the 93rd minute of play. Dida Mazzola made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Boruc Sokolski sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, SPFC's Agnaldo Santos got a free kick in the 95th minute. Although SPFC had been in control for most of the match, Barbieri Sports still came away with the win.
