Rafa Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Nico Hülkenberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christiano Castro. Porongos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nico Hülkenberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Rafa Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christiano Castro having to interfere. When Nico Hülkenberg came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Jataí fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nico Hülkenberg couldn't finish the play. Christiano Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico Hülkenberg in the 39th minute of play. Nico Hülkenberg took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christiano Castro. Christiano Castro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After the first half Jataí were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Nico Hülkenberg made the kick off in the second half. Porongos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Nico Hülkenberg scored to the left of an out of position Christiano Castro, making the score, 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Porongos's zone, José Paulo Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christiano Castro came out of the goal and José Paulo Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christiano Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico Hülkenberg in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Porongos's Alfredo Calvino got a free kick in the 86th minute. Shen Fei Mo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 88th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 96 minutes into the match, Nico Hülkenberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Christiano Castro, 0-6. Jataí played a much better game than Porongos and deserved their victory. The Porongos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
