Melquiades Abajas was a little too slow when Delmar Honesto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 4th minute. The score was now 1-0. After a rather tough play, AGUILAS's Astor Cordeal got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind AGUILAS's goalkeeper Melquiades Abajas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, AGUILAS's Feliciano Primo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fulgencio Maldonado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Astor Cordeal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fulgencio Maldonado was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Melquiades Abajas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmar Honesto in the 16th minute of the match. Feliciano Primo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Delmar Honesto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Melquiades Abajas. That made the score 2-0 in the 19 minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Cosme Fulanito FC's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Cordeal came free, but Fulgencio Maldonado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Primo in the 33rd minute of play forced Cosme Fulanito FC's goalkeeper Fulgencio Maldonado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Cosme Fulanito FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Adolfo Paio hit a great ball. In the 38th minute, Astor Cordeal made a precise shot to the right of Fulgencio Maldonado. Cosme Fulanito FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Denis Lluciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the AGUILAS defense, Delmar Honesto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Melquiades Abajas. The AGUILAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Melquiades Abajas should have stopped the shot. In the 71st minute Astor Cordeal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Maldonado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cosme Fulanito FC's Gervasio Bartolome got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Feliciano Primo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Maldonado having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Astor Cordeal managed to get in a good position for a shot. AGUILAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Astor Cordeal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fulgencio Maldonado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Delmar Honesto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Abajas having to interfere. With a little luck, Cosme Fulanito FC's Fulgencio Maldonado got control of the ball when Feliciano Primo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cosme Fulanito FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while AGUILAS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
