Spectators: 6492 (Terracing: 5442, Seating: 1050, VIP seats: 0) River Plate's Patricio Pancho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute Patricio Pancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Lorenz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejo Cordairo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Donato Pepillo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With an all-out effort, Veremi Fultra's Donato Pepillo threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anacleto Rodas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Isidro Gora kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After 22 played minutes, Veremi Fultra's Elvio Montxo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Donato Pepillo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Veremi Fultra reached it. 31 minutes into the game, Simon Urbes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Veremi Fultra the free kick. Simon Urbes kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alejo Cordairo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Wilfredo Jax ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Generoso Lorenz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 61st minute Anacleto Rodas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Pepillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Veremi Fultra's Guillermo Frasquito got a free kick in the 65th minute. River Plate's Urbano Rios shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 66th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Generoso Lorenz but with some difficulty. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind River Plate's goalkeeper Donato Pepillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Alejo Cordairo put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Donato Pepillo. After 72 played minutes Veremi Fultra got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Inocente. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate's zone, Anacleto Rodas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Pepillo came out of the goal and Anacleto Rodas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Donato Pepillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Cordairo in the 78th minute of play. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Adan Gabino hit a great ball. Donato Pepillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anacleto Rodas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anacleto Rodas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Pepillo having to interfere. When Alejo Cordairo came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Veremi Fultra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejo Cordairo couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alejo Cordairo in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donato Pepillo saved River Plate from getting behind. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
