After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Augusto Mino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palacios's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Mino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Raymond breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gerardo Firmo made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Eustacio Frederik sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Raymond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Mino in the 15th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Francis FC's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Mino came free, but Daniel Raymond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eustacio Frederik got free with Gerardo Firmo in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Palacios's Augusto Mino in 37 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Daniel Raymond guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Maximino Iturri charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximino Iturri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 42 played minutes Francis FC got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Iturri. 43 minutes into the match, Palacios's Marco Chayo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simon Karlo to make the kick off. When Eustacio Frederik came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Francis FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eustacio Frederik couldn't finish the play. In the 57th minute, Palacios's Augusto Mino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Daniel Raymond. Daniel Raymond yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. If Eustacio Frederik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Palacios's zone, Eustacio Frederik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerardo Firmo came out of the goal and Eustacio Frederik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Simon Karlo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute Sebastian Emenon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Raymond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Frederik in the 78th minute of play forced Palacios's goalkeeper Gerardo Firmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simon Karlo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Gerardo Firmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lino Guzman in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Daniel Raymond, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto Mino in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Raymond saved Francis FC from getting behind. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Palacios had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
