Naranjito FC's Baldomiro Urdin suffered a sore thigh after 35 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee ignored Pirata Cordobes's protests and gave Ladislao Garci a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Naranjito FC a penalty, 38 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Benjamin Rojelio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pirata Cordobes's Aquiles Quexal. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Ricardo in the 41st minute of play forced Naranjito FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Chesus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 76th minute, Eugenio Cloyo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pirata Cordobes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Bernardo Chesus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugenio Cloyo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Naranjito FC's zone, Arsenio Pancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Chesus came out of the goal and Arsenio Pancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute, Eugenio Cloyo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Naranjito FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Cloyo came free, but Bernardo Chesus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pirata Cordobes had played much better football throughout.
