Fulgencio Calisto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Bahia Branca's Cecilio Hartz got a free kick in the 21st minute. When Niceto Bonifaco came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the La Cruzada FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niceto Bonifaco couldn't finish the play. Hipolito Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bahia Branca's Fulgencio Calisto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Bonifaco in the 28th minute of play. After 31 minutes, Aquiles Euloxu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bahia Branca and the La Cruzada FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fulgencio Calisto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niceto Bonifaco, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. A collision led to Bahia Branca getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Cecilio Hartz hit a great ball. Niceto Bonifaco struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Fulgencio Calisto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Cruzada FC. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aquiles Euloxu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Niceto Bonifaco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Cruzada FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 61 played minutes Bahia Branca got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Llope. If Rodrigo Matai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hipolito Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Calisto having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Bahia Branca's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Loiola came free, but Fulgencio Calisto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Niceto Bonifaco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fulgencio Calisto was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. 81 minutes into the match, Hipolito Barbosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fulgencio Calisto. Bahia Branca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hipolito Barbosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1.
