Mauricio Marz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angel Tipi in the 3rd minute. Mauricio Marz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximino Curcio in the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximino Curcio in the 10th minute of play forced Roma's goalkeeper Mauricio Marz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Luisito Naelio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Roma's supporters rose to their feet, but Luisito Naelio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentin Camerino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee gave Roma a penalty, 21 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Damian Etxahun, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Marull's Valentin Camerino. 0-1. Mauricio Marz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Curcio in the 26th minute of play. Luisito Naelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentin Camerino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisito Naelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Valentin Camerino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisito Naelio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luisito Naelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Roma's Ermegildo Azeari got a free kick in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luisito Naelio to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Velasco got free with Valentin Camerino in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marull's Valentin Camerino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisito Naelio in the 56th minute of play. Ivan Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute Maximino Curcio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Marz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Roma's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Tipi came free, but Mauricio Marz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ivan Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentin Camerino came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Roma's Ivan Velasco. But to his dismay, Ivan Velasco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The supporters of Marull booed when Roma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Afonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximino Curcio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Mauricio Marz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valentin Camerino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisito Naelio in the 85th minute of play. Luisito Naelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ermegildo Azeari's late challenge caught a Marull's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ermegildo Azeari helped the player get up and apologised. Ermegildo Azeari hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Marull fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Roma were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
