After having played for 21 minutes, Christian Menendo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lino Ponciano hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Valentin Oalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Pueblo having to interfere. After 57 played minutes, Conlara's Lino Ponciano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paulo Gipuzkoa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Conlara reached it. Melchor Refugio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Paulo Gipuzkoa made a huge save. If Melquiades Enmanuel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
