The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Gimnasia Y Esgrima BJ's Americo Hibai sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Denis Goren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Botello in the 11th minute of play forced Gimnasia Y Esgrima BJ's goalkeeper Emin Flex to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Americo Hibai got free with Denis Goren in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Americo Hibai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Denis Goren managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Gimnasia Y Esgrima BJ's Americo Hibai fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Denis Goren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santos Henrico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denis Goren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santos Henrico, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute Aureliano Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emin Flex saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46thth minute of the game Aureliano Neto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gimnasia Y Esgrima BJ's Emin Flex was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Charras's Denis Goren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santos Henrico in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Charras were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santos Henrico was the one to do the kick off. Denis Goren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santos Henrico in the 54th minute of the match. Americo Hibai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Goren having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Gimnasia Y Esgrima BJ's Americo Hibai sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Denis Goren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Santos Henrico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denis Goren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Americo Hibai, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. David Roldanillo took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Denis Goren. Denis Goren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Americo Hibai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Denis Goren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Americo Hibai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Charras's zone, Santos Henrico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denis Goren came out of the goal and Santos Henrico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emin Flex made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rosendo Botello in the 94th minute. Despite being the better team, Gimnasia Y Esgrima BJ failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
