The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Isidro Ireno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. In the 8th minute, Isidro Ireno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 12 minutes, Isidro Ireno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Villa Castells's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidro Ireno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tobias Stephen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Turi in the 17th minute of the match. Tobias Stephen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Cristofol in the 20th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Abel Gil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Defensa F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Gil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobias Stephen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isidro Ireno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Aballe having to interfere. Thiago Traverso kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Cornelio Aballe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidro Ireno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute Daniel Cristofol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Stephen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cornelio Aballe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Isidro Ireno put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Cornelio Aballe. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isidro Ireno in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cornelio Aballe saved Defensa F.C from getting behind. 80 minutes into the game, Alfredo Telesforo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Defensa F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Villa Castells the free kick. Isidro Ireno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Defensa F.C's Cornelio Aballe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Ireno in the 81st minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Defensa F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Isidro Ireno came free, but Cornelio Aballe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute Deportivo Villa Castells were awarded a corner. Guido Vellito went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Guido Vellito got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cornelio Aballe quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 91st minute, Isidro Ireno made a precise shot to the right of Cornelio Aballe. Defensa F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isidro Ireno in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cornelio Aballe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Deportivo Villa Castells's Isidro Ireno in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Defensa F.C's goalie prevented a goal. Deportivo Villa Castells's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
