Tobias Stephen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ambrosio Malvin in the 8th minute of the match. After having played for 9 minutes, Keenan Winter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Villa Castells's supporters crossed their fingers, but Keenan Winter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ambrosio Malvin scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tobias Stephen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tobias Stephen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ambrosio Malvin went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Madariaga's goalkeeper Leo Elorri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 22nd match minute, Madariaga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Naike to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Deportivo Villa Castells's Toni Kroos tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Tobias Stephen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Malvin, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute, Cornelio Bartuelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Toni Kroos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Villa Castells's supporters rose to their feet, but Toni Kroos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leo Elorri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ramiro Dominix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 played minutes Madariaga got a freekick which was hit by Denis Naike. After 34 played minutes Madariaga got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Bartuelo. Deportivo Villa Castells's Tobias Stephen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrosio Malvin in the 41st minute of play. Ramiro Dominix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Koldobika in the 44th minute of play forced Deportivo Villa Castells's goalkeeper Tobias Stephen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th match minute, Deportivo Villa Castells was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidro Ireno to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudio Iruinea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Claudio Iruinea kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Keenan Winter took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leo Elorri. Madariaga's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 58 played minutes Deportivo Villa Castells got a freekick which was hit by Atilano Karmel. Ramiro Dominix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Segundo Koldobika fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Stephen having to interfere. A collision led to Madariaga getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Claudio Iruinea hit a great ball. Tobias Stephen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Iruinea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cornelio Bartuelo's late challenge caught a Deportivo Villa Castells's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cornelio Bartuelo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Madariaga getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Cornelio Bartuelo hit a great ball. The Madariaga supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Madariaga would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
