Lino Ascencio had in the 14thth minute some difficulties stopping Jimeno Abajas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Jimeno Abajas scored 0-3 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lino Ascencio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Canallas's Ahmet Hafiz Cenap got a free kick in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Jimeno Abajas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Lino Ascencio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Canallas booed when Los Diablos Piquenses was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roch Lesiecki didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Ovando Castan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lino Ascencio. Canallas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ovando Castan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Roch Lesiecki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Diablos Piquenses's supporters rose to their feet, but Roch Lesiecki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lino Ascencio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Canallas defense, Roch Lesiecki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lino Ascencio. The Canallas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lino Ascencio should have stopped the shot. In the 35th minute, Matúš Tomeček left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Diablos Piquenses fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Lino Ascencio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ovando Castan's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matúš Tomeček in the 45th minute of play forced Canallas's goalkeeper Lino Ascencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovando Castan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the match, Los Diablos Piquenses's goalkeeper Severiano Quinteros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Veremundo. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Canallas's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Matúš Tomeček 70 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-12. 83 minutes into the game, Roch Lesiecki recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lino Ascencio. Roch Lesiecki showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-14. 88 minutes into the match, Matúš Tomeček notched a goal, 0-15, to the right of Canallas's Lino Ascencio. Lino Ascencio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Matúš Tomeček kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lino Ascencio. That made the score 0-16 in the 92 minute of play. Ovando Castan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Ascencio having to interfere. The Canallas fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Los Diablos Piquenses were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
