The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Donagheumper getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Binne Grant hit a great ball. Bram Frankson made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Gearóid Gallagher sent off a good shot on target. Oughteragh United were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Donagheumper's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Darick McStephen took the corner. The corner ended in Darick McStephen almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Donagheumper's Bram Frankson did a great save. Heron McGlenn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevis Delaney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Kevis Delaney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Heremon Byrne made a precise shot to the right of Heron McGlenn. Oughteragh United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Heremon Byrne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Oughteragh United booed when Donagheumper was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Binne Grant didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevis Delaney in the 35th minute of play forced Oughteragh United's goalkeeper Heron McGlenn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Bradagain Gallagher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Heron McGlenn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gearóid Gallagher during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gearóid Gallagher hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 52nd minute Kevis Delaney suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Darick McStephen charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darick McStephen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Oughteragh United's zone, Heremon Byrne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heron McGlenn came out of the goal and Heremon Byrne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Donagheumper fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! Darick McStephen placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Heremon Byrne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heron McGlenn having to interfere. Heremon Byrne struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Heron McGlenn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Donagheumper. Bradagain Gallagher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heron McGlenn having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Donagheumper's Heremon Byrne slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Heron McGlenn. That made the score 0-3 after 78 minutes of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 83 minutes into the game, when Baydan Ryan put in a rough tackle. In the 83rd minute, one of Donagheumper:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Donagheumper. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Cassidy John got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to Donagheumper getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Cassidy John hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, Gearóid Gallagher ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bram Frankson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Cassidy John recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 98th minute Bradagain Gallagher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heron McGlenn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donagheumper played a much better game than Oughteragh United and deserved their victory. The Oughteragh United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
