After a rather tough play, Iffley Foxes's Pete Roberts got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Pat Boyd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Castleford booed when Iffley Foxes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garry Newman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donny Coulson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pat Boyd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brian Adamson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deon Harper having to interfere. Iffley Foxes's Sacha Watson got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 12 minutes into the game, Andy Francis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Castleford's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Iffley Foxes the free kick. After 12 played minutes Castleford got a freekick which was hit by Andy Francis. Deon Harper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sacha Watson in the 18th minute of the match. A hard shot 20 in the game by Brian Adamson from a close distance when the talented Deon Harper managed to make a qualified save. Castleford's players were relieved. In the 23rdth minute of the game Pat Boyd who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Iffley Foxes's Donny Coulson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sacha Watson in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Deon Harper prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Castleford's Pat Boyd got a free kick in the 35th minute. If Pat Boyd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Castleford's Pat Boyd got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Pat Boyd made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Iffley Foxes defense, Hayden Pye-Finch kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donny Coulson. The Iffley Foxes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donny Coulson should have stopped the shot. If Hayden Pye-Finch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57thth minute of the game Pat Boyd who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Iffley Foxes's Donny Coulson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Hayden Pye-Finch recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Donny Coulson. Hayden Pye-Finch showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Pat Boyd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donny Coulson having to interfere. Hayden Pye-Finch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Donny Coulson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donny Coulson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pat Boyd in the 72nd minute of the match. Pat Boyd who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Donny Coulson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Iffley Foxes getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Pierce Sparkes hit a great ball. Castleford's Darren Bartlett got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pat Boyd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Castleford booed when Iffley Foxes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Bull didn't get a good kick on the ball. Castleford's Pat Boyd got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Iffley Foxes's goalkeeper Donny Coulson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match was over Castleford could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Iffley Foxes throughout the match.
