After a rather tough play, googs n moos's Stefan Higgins got a free kick in the 12th minute. Matthew Airton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andy Francis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the game, googs n moos's Rueben Hinshelwood nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Deon Harper made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Malcolm Bastow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deon Harper having to interfere. Matthew Airton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pat Boyd in the 30th minute of the match. Drew Penn didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Hayden Pye-Finch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Malcolm Bastow might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Deon Harper. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Malcolm Bastow ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 47th match minute, Castleford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conan Lister to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Malcolm Bastow in the 49th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Deon Harper prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Malcolm Bastow to strike the kick off in the second half. Deon Harper breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 72 minutes into the match, Castleford's goal looked a bit too open when Malcolm Bastow came free, but Deon Harper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Jerry Fearns got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. googs n moos's Matthew Airton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hayden Pye-Finch in the 77th minute of play. Matthew Airton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hayden Pye-Finch in the 79th minute of the match. A collision led to googs n moos getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Ashley Houghton hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pat Boyd in the 81st minute of play forced googs n moos's goalkeeper Matthew Airton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 2-1 became the score in the 83rd minute when Pat Boyd elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The googs n moos players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Castleford from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
