Brian Martinsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Erik Tinglöf in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Gösta Larsfält got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jan-Erik Tinglöf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Brian Martinsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brian Martinsson stood somewhat misplaced when Jan-Erik Tinglöf came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 15 minute. Brian Martinsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Erik Tinglöf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonas Hökqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Brask, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan-Erik Tinglöf struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Brian Martinsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BK Merzog. Kevin Bergfelt hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. If Leif Gummeson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eric Brander hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute Joakim Engman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Hökqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reine Alén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Brian Martinsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonas Hökqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joakim Engman in the 43rd minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

53 minutes into the game, BK Merzog's Jan-Erik Tinglöf nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brian Martinsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Sibbhult BK's Eric Brander got a free kick in the 57th minute. 58 minutes into the match, BK Merzog's Jan-Erik Tinglöf sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brian Martinsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Jan-Erik Tinglöf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brian Martinsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gösta Larsfält's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Reine Alén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan-Erik Tinglöf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Sibbhult BK getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Eric Brander hit a great ball. Reine Alén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Martinsson having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Henry Brask ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonas Hökqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Brian Martinsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Erik Tinglöf in the 89th minute of the match. Reine Alén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sibbhult BK's goalkeeper Brian Martinsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Allan Wahlström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. BK Merzog fully deserved thier win.
