Sven-Ove Billvall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ove Heggert having to interfere. Sporting Björkberg were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Lajksjöberg's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Allan Uggla took the corner. The corner led Sporting Björkberg's Kalle Glad to a score. 1-0 in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute, Erland Smitt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Krister Fredriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kalle Glad in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Gunnar Vinström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Krister Fredriksson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Lajksjöberg's zone, Gunnar Vinström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Krister Fredriksson came out of the goal and Gunnar Vinström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sven-Ove Billvall kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Lajksjöberg's goal looked a bit too open when Kalle Glad came free, but Krister Fredriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Sporting Björkberg's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Ove Billvall came free, but Ove Heggert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lajksjöberg's Tobias Broman got a free kick in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kalle Glad was the one to do the kick off. Gunnar Vinström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute of the match Allan Uggla sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Krister Fredriksson skillfully saved the ball. In the 60th minute Sven-Ove Billvall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ove Heggert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Ove Billvall struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Ove Heggert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lajksjöberg. In the 66th minute, Sven-Ove Billvall reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ove Heggert. The goal made the score 2-1. Gunnar Vinström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Krister Fredriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Krister Fredriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kalle Glad, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Reine Nykvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Ove Heggert made a huge save. Lajksjöberg's Krister Fredriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kalle Glad in the 80th minute of play. Sven-Ove Billvall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 82 minutes into the match, Sporting Björkberg's goalkeeper Ove Heggert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven-Ove Billvall. In the 85th match minute, Sporting Björkberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fredrik Billock to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Björkberg's zone, Sven-Ove Billvall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ove Heggert came out of the goal and Sven-Ove Billvall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ove Heggert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Ove Billvall, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute Kalle Glad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krister Fredriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lajksjöberg's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
