An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Recife in the 6th minute of play forced FC Porto's goalkeeper Boruc Serwacki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the game, Romain Lévesque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Finskalejonet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Porto the free kick. A collision led to FC Finskalejonet getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Romain Lévesque hit a great ball. Christoffer Vennerlund took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leo Viklund. Leo Viklund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, FC Porto's goalkeeper Boruc Serwacki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Michael Dahlquist. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC Porto's goalie and right to Adrian Beckman. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC Porto's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christoffer Vennerlund in the 15th minute of play forced FC Finskalejonet's goalkeeper Leo Viklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Michael Dahlquist received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Boruc Serwacki came out and tried to block the shot, but Karl-Michael Dahlquist slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 17th minute. Claudinho Recife who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Boruc Serwacki when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Finskalejonet's goalkeeper Leo Viklund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, FC Finskalejonet's goal looked a bit too open when Christoffer Vennerlund came free, but Leo Viklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudinho Recife's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Boruc Serwacki skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Adrian Beckman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute Claudinho Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boruc Serwacki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl-Michael Dahlquist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boruc Serwacki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Cemil Gökekin struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Boruc Serwacki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Finskalejonet. Leo Viklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Blomqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, FC Porto's Boruc Serwacki got control of the ball when Claudinho Recife tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Karl-Michael Dahlquist could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Boruc Serwacki however easily saved by the left post. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christoffer Vennerlund was the one to do the kick off. Boruc Serwacki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Recife, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Claudinho Recife put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Boruc Serwacki. 54 minutes into the match, FC Finskalejonet's Claudinho Recife sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boruc Serwacki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 59th minute Jon Håning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boruc Serwacki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Porto's Boruc Serwacki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinho Recife in the 61st minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of FC Porto:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Finskalejonet:s goal. FC Porto:s Boruc Serwacki showed great skill when he stopped Ivan Tillman:s penalty. In the 65th minute, Ivan Tillman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Boruc Serwacki was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinho Recife in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Boruc Serwacki saved FC Porto from getting behind. Claudinho Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The FC Finskalejonet fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when FC Finskalejonet's Claudinho Recife looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Boruc Serwacki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinho Recife in the 81st minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, FC Porto's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Beckman came free, but Boruc Serwacki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christoffer Vennerlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Claudinho Recife put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Boruc Serwacki. The supporters of FC Finskalejonet booed when FC Porto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Rudqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivan Tillman, 93 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. FC Finskalejonet's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
