Franz Thouvenin kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. The supporters of MONACO FC booed when Modane Gare FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erwan Adoniso didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of Modane Gare FC booed when MONACO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilles Cousseau didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Erwan Adoniso came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Modane Gare FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erwan Adoniso couldn't finish the play. Raymond Kopa hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Modane Gare FC's Achille Roumier quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Clem Couzon, made in the 28th minute of the game. After some careless play in the MONACO FC defense, Erwan Adoniso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joël Drapier. The MONACO FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joël Drapier should have stopped the shot. Franz Tremblay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Jarod Conan made a huge save. In the 36th match minute, MONACO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Eanes to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Modane Gare FC's Madjid Bouville tried to score from far away in the 37th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute Eleuterio Sidoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joël Drapier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 played minutes Modane Gare FC got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Bobet. Gilles Cousseau in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jarod Conan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Gilles Cousseau sped through Modane Gare FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jarod Conan. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Eleuterio Sidoro made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Achille Roumier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mike Delvaux recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jarod Conan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilles Cousseau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarod Conan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franz Tremblay, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. MONACO FC's Joël Drapier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save MONACO FC from getting a goal against them. Erwan Adoniso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Joël Drapier when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eleuterio Sidoro got free with Joël Drapier in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joël Drapier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Sidoro in the 68th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Gilles Cousseau put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jarod Conan. Gilles Cousseau's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jarod Conan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Gilles Cousseau hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After 82 played minutes MONACO FC got a freekick which was hit by Gilles Cousseau. In the 89th match minute, MONACO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymond Kopa to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Modane Gare FC's Lucas Bobet got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilles Cousseau in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jarod Conan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. MONACO FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
