In the 57th minute, Edmond Choteau reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dennis Jürgensonn. The goal made the score 0-4. Dennis Jürgensonn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Reeb in the 62nd minute of play. Fred Reeb was extremely unlucky when he, in the 64th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 64 played minutes Étoile du Sud got a freekick which was hit by Victor Maupin. In the 66th minute, Edmond Choteau made a precise shot to the right of Dennis Jürgensonn. Étoile du Sud's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. 69 minutes into the match, Étoile du Sud's goal looked a bit too open when Brian Nicaise came free, but Dennis Jürgensonn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Edmond Choteau kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dennis Jürgensonn. That made the score 0-6 in the 71 minute of play. Dennis Jürgensonn was a little too slow when Edmond Choteau got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 0-7. In the 79th minute, Carency's Brian Nicaise ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dennis Jürgensonn. Dennis Jürgensonn yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. Étoile du Sud's Dennis Jürgensonn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Nicaise in the 82nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmond Choteau got free with Dennis Jürgensonn in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brian Nicaise's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dennis Jürgensonn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Wu Yi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Arthur Paquin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dennis Jürgensonn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brian Nicaise's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Arthur Paquin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wu Yi in the 93rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arthur Collier got free with Dennis Jürgensonn in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur Collier in the 96th minute of play forced Étoile du Sud's goalkeeper Dennis Jürgensonn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dennis Jürgensonn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Nicaise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over Carency could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Étoile du Sud throughout the match.
