In the 6th minute, Winfried Willmann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gengenbacher FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Joachim Bleck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes in the game Björn Ackermann did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Erik Schlösser. Albrecht Kamp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emmerich Uhrig in the 16th minute of the match. After having played for 18 minutes, Winfried Willmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gengenbacher FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Winfried Willmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Joachim Bleck managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Weser Kickers's supporters rose to their feet, but Joachim Bleck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heiko Blachstein breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Albrecht Kamp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Winfried Willmann in the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th minute Konstantin Gradistanac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albrecht Kamp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Friedhold Eigenfeld recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of SC Weser Kickers booed when Gengenbacher FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hagen Knodel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Winfried Willmann notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of SC Weser Kickers's Albrecht Kamp. Albrecht Kamp was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Albrecht Kamp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Winfried Willmann in the 43rd minute of play. Albrecht Kamp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Konstantin Gradistanac in the 44th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Joachim Bleck made the kick off in the second half. If Jochen Trapp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albrecht Kamp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Winfried Willmann in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Joachim Bleck cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Heiko Blachstein was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Albrecht Kamp made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Konstantin Gradistanac sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Winfried Willmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albrecht Kamp was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Konstantin Gradistanac got free with Albrecht Kamp in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joachim Bleck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Heiko Blachstein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Winfried Willmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albrecht Kamp having to interfere. Albrecht Kamp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Winfried Willmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 80 minutes, Konstantin Gradistanac managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gengenbacher FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Konstantin Gradistanac was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With 82 minutes on the clock, Karl Marschall commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Weser Kickers fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Albrecht Kamp, was totally fooled by Gengenbacher FC's Björn Ackermann, who 84 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Winfried Willmann might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albrecht Kamp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Winfried Willmann ran back to his position shaking his head. SC Weser Kickers's Albrecht Kamp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save SC Weser Kickers from getting a goal against them. Konstantin Gradistanac in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Albrecht Kamp, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Albrecht Kamp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emmerich Uhrig in the 98th minute of play. The SC Weser Kickers supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Gengenbacher FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Gengenbacher FC.
