Waldemar Zbikowski started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Albrecht Kamp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Zbikowski in the 3rd minute of the match. Mugurel Postelnicu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Bleck, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After 9 minutes, Waldemar Zbikowski made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. SC Weser Kickers's Albrecht Kamp tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ingo Stromann hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, Waldemar Zbikowski notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of SC Weser Kickers's Albrecht Kamp. Albrecht Kamp was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 19 minutes into the match, Joachim Bleck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mugurel Postelnicu. FC Bayern München's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joachim Bleck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. SC Weser Kickers's Albrecht Kamp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddy Mumme in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by SC Weser Kickers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. André Hartmann was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Bayern München's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to FC Bayern München's Eddy Mumme getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldemar Zbikowski in the 35th minute of play forced SC Weser Kickers's goalkeeper Albrecht Kamp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mugurel Postelnicu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Björn Berndt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 41 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joachim Bleck made a kick off. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Eddy Mumme got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to SC Weser Kickers getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Jochen Trapp hit a great ball. Waldemar Zbikowski's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Albrecht Kamp skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 66th minute, Joachim Bleck made a precise shot to the right of Mugurel Postelnicu. FC Bayern München's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. The supporters of SC Weser Kickers booed when FC Bayern München was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldemar Zbikowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albrecht Kamp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Mumme in the 74th minute of play. Karl Marschall kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. When André Hartmann came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the FC Bayern München fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Hartmann couldn't finish the play. Waldemar Zbikowski struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Albrecht Kamp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Bayern München. Mugurel Postelnicu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Björn Berndt, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Albrecht Kamp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Zbikowski in the 88th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the game, SC Weser Kickers's Joachim Bleck nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mugurel Postelnicu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. Waldemar Zbikowski in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Albrecht Kamp, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Bayern München players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Weser Kickers.
