After 4 played minutes, FC Gundekose's Charly De Weyngaert shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Brain Van Meirhaeghe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Gundekose reached it. Tobias Enfant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tobias Enfant struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Brain Van Meirhaeghe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Gundekose. The supporters of FC Gundekose booed when Franse Kunstenaars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bass Van Eeckhout didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Franse Kunstenaars's zone, Mateo Puttemas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brain Van Meirhaeghe came out of the goal and Mateo Puttemas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute, Abraham Knockaert made a precise shot to the right of Brain Van Meirhaeghe. Franse Kunstenaars's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Thibau Schepmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thibau Schepmans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Robbrecht Coosemans made a huge save. Mateo Puttemas charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mateo Puttemas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 48 played minutes FC Gundekose got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Puttemas. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Robbrecht Coosemans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jon Helssens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franse Kunstenaars's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bart van Hollebecke in the 54th minute. Bart van Hollebecke made a great header on Franse Kunstenaars's corner, it was just that FC Gundekose's Robbrecht Coosemans managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 61stth minute of the game Thibau Schepmans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Gundekose's Robbrecht Coosemans was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC Gundekose's Robbrecht Coosemans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thibau Schepmans in the 66th minute of play. After 68 played minutes Franse Kunstenaars got a freekick which was hit by Bart van Hollebecke. Klaas De Loose sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thibau Schepmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Robbrecht Coosemans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Thibau Schepmans in the 84th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Abraham Knockaert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Franse Kunstenaars's Thibau Schepmans sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robbrecht Coosemans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
