After 4 played minutes, Terheide's Cesar Imbrechs shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andries Salms came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Terheide reached it. Andries Salms showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amaury Rijmenams, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amaury Rijmenams in the 12th minute of play forced Sporting Club Gent's goalkeeper Andries Salms to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When André Johnsson came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Sporting Club Gent fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Johnsson couldn't finish the play. İlkan Eronat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Antoine Godefroid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Terheide's goal looked a bit too open when André Johnsson came free, but Antoine Godefroid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute Richy Pelsmaeckers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andries Salms saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th match minute, Terheide was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Imbrechs to maneuver through the defense. After 28 played minutes, Terheide's Cesar Imbrechs shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andries Salms came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Andries Salms showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richy Pelsmaeckers in the 38th minute of the match. Andries Salms showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richy Pelsmaeckers, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Sporting Club Gent's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 49th minute of the game, when Cui Lin Zhou after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Terheide's goal. Cui Lin Zhou was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and André Johnsson made a kick off. Sporting Club Gent's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cui Lin Zhou in the 56th minute. A nice corner shot did that Cui Lin Zhou got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Antoine Godefroid quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice moves Amaury Rijmenams could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Andries Salms however easily saved by the left post. A hard shot by Cesar Imbrechs from long distance, 61 minutes into the match, got Andries Salms's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Cesar Imbrechs hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, Terheide's goal looked a bit too open when André Johnsson came free, but Antoine Godefroid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kajetan Laba hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. André Johnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Antoine Godefroid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Richy Pelsmaeckers in the 84th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Andries Salms kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Antoine Godefroid came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Club Gent's André Johnsson. But to his dismay, André Johnsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Kajetan Laba hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. 99 minutes into the game, Edgard Snoekens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Terheide's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Club Gent the free kick. A collision led to Terheide getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Edgard Snoekens hit a great ball. Sporting Club Gent were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Terheide for a fine match.
