Fighters Against Cancer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VM HOPVELDEN the free kick. Sven Pineurs kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Mike Cappels notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Fighters Against Cancer's Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven. Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 19th minute, Mike Cappels made a precise shot to the right of Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven. Fighters Against Cancer's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Mike Cappels managed to get in a good position for a shot. VM HOPVELDEN's supporters rose to their feet, but Mike Cappels was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by VM HOPVELDEN's Hendrik Dierickx. But to his dismay, Hendrik Dierickx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 32 minutes into the match, Robert Pivniceru had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven. Fighters Against Cancer's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robert Pivniceru was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 36th minute, Viktor Dejardin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38th minute Mike Cappels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hendrik Dierickx in the 44th minute of play. Domingos Gonzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Van der Voert in the 46th minute of play. Fighters Against Cancer's Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mike Cappels in the 47th minute of play.

The wind increased when Willem Verheijden made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as VM HOPVELDEN's Mike Cappels slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven. That made the score 0-6 after 57 minutes of play. The crowd rose to their feet as VM HOPVELDEN's Viktor Dejardin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven. That made the score 0-7 after 62 minutes of play. Mike Cappels could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven made a huge save. 71 minutes into the match, Mike Cappels notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Fighters Against Cancer's Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven. Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mike Cappels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Viktor Dejardin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven made a huge save. In the 76th minute, VM HOPVELDEN's Viktor Dejardin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven. Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. In the 82nd play minute Mike Cappels came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven. 0-10. After 85 minutes of play Fighters Against Cancer's Richard Van der Voert was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After having played for 87 minutes, Mike Cappels managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VM HOPVELDEN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mike Cappels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fighters Against Cancer's Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mike Cappels in the 89th minute of play. Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hendrik Dierickx in the 90th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the game, Fighters Against Cancer's Sven Pineurs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Domingos Gonzo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-10. After 94 minutes, Willem Verheijden mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fighters Against Cancer and the VM HOPVELDEN players grew even worse after the yellow card. VM HOPVELDEN played a much better game than Fighters Against Cancer and deserved their victory. The Fighters Against Cancer players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
