The coaching staff of KANARINIA FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dimitris Papachantzoulis had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of KANARINIA FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Liyiá:s goal. 8 minutes into the match, KANARINIA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nikiforos Aggelidis came free, but Errikos Fotiou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Errikos Fotiou didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kostas Panteliadis went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 16 played minutes KANARINIA FC got a freekick which was hit by Adamantios Belevonis. KANARINIA FC's Errikos Fotiou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Kolibas in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kostas Panteliadis in the 19th minute of play forced KANARINIA FC's goalkeeper Errikos Fotiou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, KANARINIA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kostas Panteliadis came free, but Errikos Fotiou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Errikos Fotiou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Kolibas in the 22nd minute of play. Andreas Kolibas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th minute, Christos Ioannidis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Errikos Fotiou was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Petros Chionidis to strike the kick off in the second half. Kostas Panteliadis succeeded in the game's 53rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-5. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Petros Chionidis took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Errikos Fotiou to make any attempt to save it. Omiros Tsiafkaris came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by KANARINIA FC's Renos Tzanetos. But to his dismay, Renos Tzanetos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. 69 minutes into the match, KANARINIA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kostas Panteliadis came free, but Errikos Fotiou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Errikos Fotiou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petros Chionidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Renos Tzanetos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Omiros Tsiafkaris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christos Ioannidis got free with Errikos Fotiou in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Errikos Fotiou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petros Chionidis in the 82nd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, KANARINIA FC's goalkeeper Errikos Fotiou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christos Ioannidis. Errikos Fotiou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petros Chionidis in the 90th minute of the match. Errikos Fotiou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petros Chionidis in the 92nd minute of play. Liyiá's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
