But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ataman Beren couldn't finish the play. Hulki Tarim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hayrettin Neşet having to interfere. Sergen Çelikel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sait Yaver in the 16th minute. Fenerbahce's Abdulhamit Tanın got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Hulki Tarim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Ikizce's Hulki Tarim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hayrettin Neşet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hulki Tarim made a kick off.
