Joko Wibowo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Donny Reza made a huge save. In the 42nd minute, Joko Wibowo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Sabah's Eboy Ginting got his second yellow card of the match in the 44th minute. The referee ordered Eboy Ginting off the ground. Donny Reza had in the 45thth minute some difficulties stopping Joko Wibowo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Joko Wibowo made the kick off in the second half. Lelo Guci kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Uum Ie during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 59 played minutes Sabah got a freekick which was hit by Uum Ie. 60 minutes into the match, Joko Wibowo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donny Reza. Sabah's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joko Wibowo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Jakob Priyatno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donny Reza having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Sabah's goal looked a bit too open when Jakob Priyatno came free, but Donny Reza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Uum Ie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
