An unexpectedly hard shot by Biggs Perandis in the 7th minute of play forced Jimmy Pizza's goalkeeper Boris Wang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Inter Wodonga's Boyce Worsley got a free kick in the 8th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Kinsey in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Boris Wang saved Jimmy Pizza from getting behind. After 14 minutes of play, Inter Wodonga's Bleyd Hamilton made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boris Wang was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bleyd Hamilton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boris Wang read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. After 23 minutes, Alex Kinsey made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Jimmy Pizza's Boris Wang tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Jimmy Pizza defense, Bleyd Hamilton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Boris Wang. The Jimmy Pizza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Boris Wang should have stopped the shot. Boris Wang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bleyd Hamilton, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Brennan Reynolds had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Boris Wang. Jimmy Pizza's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brennan Reynolds was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Bleyd Hamilton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Boris Wang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boris Wang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bleyd Hamilton, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Boris Wang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Kinsey's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Kinsey in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boris Wang prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Kevin Carragher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Inter Wodonga! Boris Wang was a little too slow when Alex Kinsey got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 1-5. Alex Kinsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Boris Wang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Inter Wodonga booed when Jimmy Pizza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jackson Quinn didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Inter Wodonga fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Inter Wodonga's Alex Kinsey looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Inter Wodonga booed when Jimmy Pizza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernard Seistrup didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Alex Kinsey, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 72 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Boris Wang was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Boyce Worsley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 77 minutes into the game, Inter Wodonga's Alex Kinsey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Boris Wang made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-7. Boris Wang made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alex Kinsey in the 86th minute. A hard shot 92 in the game by Alex Kinsey from a close distance when the talented Boris Wang managed to make a qualified save. Jimmy Pizza's players were relieved. Inter Wodonga's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
