Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Caco Barbosa started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jake Hardcastle in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Norberto Heerdt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 12th minute, U21 Brazil's Caco Barbosa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 England's goalkeeper Oliveira Lesak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Caco Barbosa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Oliveira Lesak. The goal made the score 3-0. Oliveira Lesak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico Williams in the 44th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jake Hardcastle to strike the kick off in the second half. Caco Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for U21 England! In the 63rd minute there was a penalty for U21 Brazil. Caco Barbosa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Oliveira Lesak. 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as U21 England's Bruno Pernambucano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Norberto Heerdt. That made the score 4-1 after 68 minutes of play. U21 England's Jason Butterfield was substituted for Dariusz Rogoz. 73 minutes into the match, U21 Brazil's goalkeeper Norberto Heerdt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jake Hardcastle. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caco Barbosa in the 76th minute of play forced U21 England's goalkeeper Oliveira Lesak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the game, U21 Brazil's Caco Barbosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oliveira Lesak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. U21 Brazil's Frederico Hermes was substituted for Nico Williams. U21 Brazil's Belchior Mamatulin was substituted for Sílvio Luís Corrêa. 86 minutes into the match, U21 England's goal looked a bit too open when Xandão Crouch came free, but Oliveira Lesak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xandão Crouch scored 6-1 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oliveira Lesak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Oliveira Lesak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xandão Crouch in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 England's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eusébio Orange was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Brazil's players had a chance to rest. U21 England's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
