The goalkeeper, Dennys Palencia, was totally fooled by U21 Italy's Federico Di Natale, who 4 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Ben Stiller kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. If Scofield Vinciguerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute Scofield Vinciguerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennys Palencia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dennys Palencia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Scofield Vinciguerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 12thth minute of the game Scofield Vinciguerra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Honduras's Dennys Palencia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 15 minutes into the match, U21 Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Scofield Vinciguerra came free, but Dennys Palencia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dennys Palencia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Scofield Vinciguerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Scofield Vinciguerra in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dennys Palencia saved U21 Honduras from getting behind. In the 21st minute Scofield Vinciguerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennys Palencia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Scofield Vinciguerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Dennys Palencia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in U21 Honduras fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! Scofield Vinciguerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 33 played minutes U21 Italy got a freekick which was hit by Scofield Vinciguerra. Scofield Vinciguerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dennys Palencia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Scofield Vinciguerra ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 36th minute Scofield Vinciguerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennys Palencia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. U21 Honduras's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Scofield Vinciguerra scored to the left of an out of position Dennys Palencia, making the score, 3-0. Scofield Vinciguerra had several of the U21 Honduras's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 45 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-0 score and a disappointed Dennys Palencia as he didn't even see the shot coming. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mahmud Khan to strike the kick off in the second half. Sultan Tuğrul who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Franco Galfrè when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Scofield Vinciguerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dennys Palencia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. U21 Italy made a substitution. Simone Spano replaced Federico Di Natale. U21 Italy's Víctor Osimhen was substituted for Scofield Vinciguerra. In the 60thth minute of the game Víctor Osimhen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Honduras's Dennys Palencia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Víctor Osimhen put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dennys Palencia. If Víctor Osimhen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 66 minutes, Víctor Osimhen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Italy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Víctor Osimhen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Franco Galfrè came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Honduras's Sultan Tuğrul. But to his dismay, Sultan Tuğrul quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Víctor Osimhen put it in 6-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dennys Palencia. Giovani Rico kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Giovani Rico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When U21 Italy's Víctor Osimhen in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Honduras's goalie prevented a goal. Dennys Palencia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Víctor Osimhen, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. U21 Honduras's Jhonnatan Vasquez was substituted for Sultan Tuğrul. U21 Honduras's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
