The U21 Russia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonid Plaksin should have stopped the shot. Leonid Plaksin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francesc Totti in the 80th minute. 84 minutes into the match, Adam Nigbor dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Leonid Plaksin, 1-6. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Russia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fabian Tomaszewski was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Poland's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Wali Brama almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but U21 Russia's Leonid Plaksin did a great save. The U21 Russia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching U21 Poland's performance. The match ended with a win for U21 Poland.
