In the 28th minute Son Head Son shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enric Vila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Spain's goal looked a bit too open when 정 후 came free, but Enric Vila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 박 오 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliz Roig in the 38th minute of play. If King Park had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. South Korea's Silver Honda was substituted for Uran Friend. 박 오 was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 50th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Narciso Pabon. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 58th minute, Son Head Son got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gucci Dragon hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Spain made a substitution. Loreto Carrasco replaced Petri Morales. The supporters of Spain booed when South Korea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gucci Dragon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute Eskuin Gonzáles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 박 오 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Spain's corner Narciso Pabon fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and 박 오 quite easily take care of the ball. 박 오 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eskuin Gonzáles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 김 지 hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 80 minutes into the game, Spain's Americo Leyva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 박 오 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Son Head Son took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Enric Vila to make any attempt to save it. Loreto Carrasco kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Gucci Dragon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 박 오 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Americo Leyva in the 90th minute of play. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Americo Leyva sped through South Korea's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of 박 오. Enric Vila made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Son Head Son sent off a good shot on target. 박 오 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eskuin Gonzáles, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. In the 99th minute, Loreto Carrasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
