Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sean McGlenn got the match started through his kick off. Gigi Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darick Gillmour, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A throw-in in the 5th minute of the game was made by Patrice Vieira with Grant Muralhas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 8 minutes into the match, Ireland's Sean McGlenn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gigi Buffon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gigi Buffon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Darick Gillmour went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Breannain Byrne made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Radomir Czerner sent off a good shot on target. 18 minutes into the game, Gustaw Rawa threw the ball into play from the sideline. Ireland's Raonall Savic quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ireland's goalkeeper Breannain Byrne, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, Ireland's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaw Petrasz came free, but Breannain Byrne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustaw Petrasz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Breannain Byrne came out and tried to block the shot, but Gustaw Petrasz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 31st minute. 38 minutes into the match, Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Darick Gillmour came free, but Gigi Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Poland's Gigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sean McGlenn in the 39th minute of play. Darick Gillmour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Grant Muralhas notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Poland's Gigi Buffon. Gigi Buffon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustaw Petrasz was the one to do the kick off. Poland's Gustaw Petrasz got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Breannain Byrne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaw Petrasz in the 57th minute of play. Gustaw Petrasz scored 2-2 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Breannain Byrne, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Poland made a substitution. Jaroslaw Milko replaced Korneliusz Cizeski. After 63 minutes of play, Poland's Gustaw Petrasz made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Breannain Byrne was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 68th minute Sean McGlenn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Poland were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Ireland's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaroslaw Milko took the corner. A very nice done corner allowed Gustaw Petrasz to score against Breannain Byrne in Ireland's goal. 4-2 after 71 minutes. Gustaw Petrasz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breannain Byrne having to interfere. Breannain Byrne stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustaw Petrasz's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Gustaw Petrasz struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Breannain Byrne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poland. Poland's Cyryl Wodaszak was substituted for Gustaw Petrasz. The referee gave Poland a penalty, 90 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Milosz Furtok, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ireland's Breannain Byrne. 6-2. Cyryl Wodaszak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Breannain Byrne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyryl Wodaszak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Poland getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Jaroslaw Dytrych hit a great ball. 98 minutes into the match, Cyryl Wodaszak notched a goal, 7-2, to the right of Ireland's Breannain Byrne. Breannain Byrne was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Poland were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ireland for a fine match.
