Aleksander Lingren was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Sweden's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Hampus Dahlman heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When U21 Sweden's Sebastian Käller in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Vincent Andreasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jack Glanselius came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Spain's Froilan Reyes. But to his dismay, Froilan Reyes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Froilan Reyes in the 30th minute of play forced U21 Sweden's goalkeeper Jack Glanselius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jack Glanselius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Froilan Reyes, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 38 minutes into the game, U21 Spain's Froilan Reyes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jack Glanselius made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Froilan Reyes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jack Glanselius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Spain's zone, Sebastian Käller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marta Rey came out of the goal and Sebastian Käller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th match minute, U21 Spain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gau Zubiaga to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, U21 Spain's Gau Zubiaga got a free kick in the 47th minute. A collision led to U21 Spain getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. Gau Zubiaga hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

After 53 played minutes U21 Spain got a freekick which was hit by Xarles Solana. Ove Salkvist took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marta Rey. Marta Rey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pascual Macia got free with Jack Glanselius in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, U21 Spain's Gau Zubiaga got a free kick in the 64th minute. 70 minutes into the match, U21 Sweden's goalkeeper Jack Glanselius had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pascual Macia. With a little luck, U21 Sweden's Jack Glanselius got control of the ball when Pascual Macia tried to sneak it across the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, U21 Sweden's Ove Salkvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marta Rey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Froilan Reyes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jack Glanselius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. U21 Spain's Mario Bros was substituted for Pascual Macia. U21 Spain's Oscar Montaña was substituted for Nico Armada. With a little luck, U21 Sweden's Jack Glanselius got control of the ball when López Heredia tried to sneak it across the goal line. When U21 Sweden's Ove Salkvist in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Spain's goalie prevented a goal. López Heredia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 88th minute U21 Sweden were awarded a corner. Aleksander Lingren went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpected shot in the 90th minute by López Heredia got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ove Salkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 96 played minutes U21 Spain got a freekick which was hit by Rafa Morado. Ove Salkvist struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Marta Rey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Sweden. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched U21 Spain eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
