8 minutes into the match, Brazil's Frederico Martins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustaw Petrasz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 8 minutes into the game, Brazil's Frederico Martins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gustaw Petrasz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Kauã Abraão made in the 13th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Poland's Fabian Hludzenski. In the 14th minute Frederico Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaw Petrasz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iwo Wolnik got free with Luiz Paulo Moreno in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Poland's Mateusz Morawiecki quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kauã Abraão, made in the 20th minute of the game. 21 minutes into the match, Iwo Wolnik notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Brazil's Luiz Paulo Moreno. Luiz Paulo Moreno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th minute, Frederico Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the match, Poland's Iwo Wolnik sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Paulo Moreno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Frederico Martins came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Brazil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frederico Martins couldn't finish the play. Iwo Wolnik took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Paulo Moreno. Luiz Paulo Moreno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 43rd minute Frederico Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaw Petrasz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frederico Martins made a kick off. Luiz Paulo Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iwo Wolnik in the 51st minute of the match. Brazil's Luiz Paulo Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwo Wolnik in the 56th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Iwo Wolnik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Poland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Brazil's Sérgio Goiano was substituted for Tostão de Andrade. Gustaw Petrasz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo Alvarenga in the 61st minute of play. Gustaw Petrasz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sérgio Goiano in the 67th minute. Sérgio Goiano came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gustaw Petrasz could save by the left post. Naldo Alvarenga scored 3-2 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustaw Petrasz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gustaw Petrasz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sérgio Goiano in the 92nd minute of the match. The whistle blew for the end of the second half and the match was still tied. The players were able to take a short break before lining up again for extra-time.

The players didn't get much rest, but they still tried to pep each other up as they lined up for the first half in overtime. Poland's Zygmunt Dranka started the play with his kick off. Brazil's Luiz Paulo Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zygmunt Dranka in the 101st minute of play. Kauã Abraão made in the 102nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Sérgio Goiano however managed to control. In the 104th minute Zygmunt Dranka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Paulo Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 105 minutes into the game, Brazil's Oséias Rezende nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gustaw Petrasz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. The Brazil players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
