Cees Remmelts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Renaut Ingelborghs made a huge save. 10 minutes into the game, Floris Reniers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Anton Davids was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 15 minutes into the game, Matias Geraerts cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. In the 32nd match minute, U21 Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Levi Schaap to maneuver through the defense. Mitchel Bakker hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute of the match Gilian Roels sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anton Davids skillfully saved the ball. U21 Belgium's Renaut Ingelborghs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Levi Schaap in the 41st minute of play. Renaut Ingelborghs made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Spas Spitzmüller sent off a good shot on target. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matias Geraerts to make the kick off. Renaut Ingelborghs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cees Remmelts, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. Renaut Ingelborghs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Levi Schaap, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The U21 Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Renaut Ingelborghs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cees Remmelts's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. The supporters of U21 Netherlands booed when U21 Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilian Roels didn't get a good kick on the ball. Renaut Ingelborghs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cees Remmelts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Renaut Ingelborghs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luc Nyemanting in the 72nd minute of play. Spas Spitzmüller scored 4-2 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Renaut Ingelborghs, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Renaut Ingelborghs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Levi Schaap, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 79thth minute of the game Levi Schaap who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Belgium's Renaut Ingelborghs was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Renaut Ingelborghs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthijs van Persie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute Levi Schaap shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renaut Ingelborghs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, U21 Netherlands's Anton Davids got control of the ball when Gilian Roels tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 90th minute, Floris Reniers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dolf Van Dijck hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 94th match minute, U21 Belgium was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominick Rouvroys to maneuver through the defense. U21 Netherlands's Spas Spitzmüller got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. U21 Netherlands had played much better football throughout.
