Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Petr Tomek got the match started through his kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in U21 Czech Republic fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! With a little luck, U21 Czech Republic's Tomáš Prášek got control of the ball when Martin Ruďák tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 17th minute U21 Slovakia were awarded a corner. Andrej Banko went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Michal Mareš managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Slovakia's supporters rose to their feet, but Michal Mareš was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomáš Prášek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th match minute, U21 Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Mareš to maneuver through the defense. Martin Ruďák might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomáš Prášek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martin Ruďák ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomáš Prášek was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ivan Lesník showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. In the 28th minute, Alexander Košičan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th minute Petr Tomek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dušan Kinder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Mareš hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Tomáš Prášek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michal Mareš, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. U21 Slovakia were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after U21 Czech Republic's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Andrej Banko took the corner. In the 45th minute, Ivan Lesník made a precise shot to the right of Tomáš Prášek. U21 Czech Republic's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ivan Lesník to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, U21 Czech Republic's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Lesník came free, but Tomáš Prášek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Lesník hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. U21 Czech Republic's Jan Jarkovský was substituted for Koloman Lechner. In the 59th minute, Ivan Lesník hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaroslav Baron made in the 65th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by U21 Slovakia's Alexander Košičan. Tomáš Prášek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Ruďák in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of U21 Slovakia booed when U21 Czech Republic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavel Horváth didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 69 played minutes U21 Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Jan Mareš. Tomáš Prášek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Lesník, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, Ivan Lesník had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomáš Prášek. U21 Czech Republic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivan Lesník was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. U21 Slovakia's Ladislav Lapaj was substituted for Ján Hanzel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvester Radalj in the 83rd minute of play forced U21 Czech Republic's goalkeeper Tomáš Prášek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jan Mareš fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Czech Republic's protests and gave Jan Mareš a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute, Jan Mareš hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvester Radalj in the 88th minute of play forced U21 Czech Republic's goalkeeper Tomáš Prášek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Czech Republic's goalkeeper Tomáš Prášek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. U21 Slovakia fully deserved thier win.
