Mahadi Sutisna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beltxe Gaviria in the 42nd minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Harvey Sumanto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Indonesia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peru the free kick. A collision led to Indonesia getting a freekick after 45 minutes play.
