After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Cosme Arango managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Cosme Arango was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 45th minute of the match, Efraín Eguiluz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Muc Azaceta was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 47 minutes into the match, Soin Zarra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Ignacio Alcedo. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. U21 Venezuela walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
