No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robert Plant made a kick off. If Robert Plant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Radamel-Falcao Garcia got free with Lyle Arrington in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nestor Amezua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tyrell Brandt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rigoberto Redding made a great header on USA's corner, it was just that Colombia's Nestor Amezua managed to reach the ball for a save.
